R. Jason Read
R. Jason Read joined Rynn &
Janowsky upon receiving his LL.M. in International Business Law
and has been a partner with the firm since 1997. He devotes a
substantial portion of his time to representing the legal needs
of the produce industry and has developed an expertise
representing the interests of produce sellers and shippers
through enforcing the statutory trust provisions of the
Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (“PACA”) in both U.S.
District and Bankruptcy Courts. He has acted as lead counsel in
federal and appellate courts throughout the country and has
handled business and commercial litigation matters on behalf of
both domestic and foreign corporations.
In addition to his PACA expertise, Mr. Read has substantial
experience in the enforcement and defense of pre-judgment
attachment remedies under California state law, including
enforcement of producer’s liens under the California Food and
Agriculture Code.
